Just Bought My First Full Race Car
Just bought it Friday; needs a little maintenance, but she's basically ready to roll.
Time to sell a bunch of old parts, a few pints of blood, and get myself ready for this next season.

She has an SCCA log book from years ago, so I have to research what's currently available (car was run before SCCA did their class overhaul a few years ago), which is likely GT2. I'm leaving the option open to running with NASA, which probably puts me into ST1, perhaps a detune of the engine and run on pump gas would get me in a lower class. But it seems NASA is redoing their power to weight structure a little too, so who knows what this next year will bring.
This year I just need to get the maintenance done, get all my equipment needed (including a trailer... anybody want to buy an 85 Vette?), and run track days and Time Trials with my local club (Midwestern Council) to get a feel for the car, and get as much seat time in her as I can. And if all goes as planned/hoped get my Comp License next year.
Thanks, you probably have, it's been on the forum at least once.

When freshly built/tuned on 110 octane peaked over 460 RWHP, and competition weight was at 3100 and that included some ballast.
Thanks, I'm excited.
All the aero are Performance AFX parts (makes sense since it was their car, haha)
383 LT4: forged internals with AFR heads
DFI Gen 7 running with Dual Sync Distributor (no opti)
AP Racing 6 piston w/ Performance AFX 2 piece front rotors.
Bilstein Coilovers & Z51 Sway bars
Poly bushings and heim joints throughout.
22 Gallon ATL fuel cell.
Running the ZF 6 speed through 3.73 gears
And a bunch of little stuff.

Maintenance: fluids, hoses, brakes, etc.
Patch a hole in the header collector.
Replace windshield, small crack at the bottom.
Modify existing or fab new seat mounting, and swap belts.
Replace roll cage padding.
New tires
And the biggest expense, I still need to buy a trailer.
Hood is on the list to be replaced because the front corner is broken.
And of course a once over to clean and inspect for tech.

Beautiful car. Is it set up to run will stock C4 wheel bearings? I am sure the guys that track C4s can advise what to look for,and what to run. A fellow track rat has mentioned that the bearings were the part to keep an eye on with the C4s. Have a great season.

There is always the Hoosier Performance rebuildable units.
And then there's the rear... don't know about the longevity on the rear.
