The Ring with Derek Bell in a Porsche 956

Thanks for posting!
I was there that day. I watched them unload the 956 from the trailer, and Bell jump in and drive off. Also got to meet Walter Röhrl that day. I ran my last, and fastest ever run of the ring that day. An 8:03. Only like 2 min shy of the record, but not bad for an old F-body.
Never posted the 8:03, but here is my fastest passenger lap.

Melting Slicks
I saw more GTP at the Glen but was also at Sears.
It's great that we can still see this type of cars running at Laguna.
Always had a high opinion of Derek as a driver.

Wow that is high praise, I found that overtaking with confidence is much safer than the slow down, then pass method. I think I had about 130 laps when I drove that video.

Ha, no that is a girl that wanted a ride in a "raw" car(no traction control, electronic throttle, or ABS). To compare to my buddies in an E92 M3, an SRT 392, and a Boss 302.
She got out and said the biggest difference(to the other cars) "is when you brake it's life or death, and the firebird feels like it's operating beyond the laws of physics sometimes"
