Anyone else as excited about this as I am? Hoping for a repeat of Dayton, including the ending. Curious how the Ford's are going to look in race #2.
Thanks for the schedule Cor123!

I didn't get to watch as much as I wanted to see. Race switched from FS2 to FS1 without warning. I found myself watching NASCAR. I'm a little disappointed in the US automakers because of the few entries. No GM cars in the Continental Sports Car Challenge. Only2 Fords in GT too many Porsches. Only 5 production based US cars in the 12hours. There were plenty of Porsches. I think something needs to change to get more US based non factory cars in the fields.

Yup. They had weight added and power taken away this race. In the rain the 911s are amazing. Soon as it dried out they couldn't keep the pace they had only because everyone got fast again. Bmws were super fast in the beginning. Corvette win due to strategy. They were even 2 laps down at 6pm. In the last few hours with everyone running ***** out, the lap times were all equal. To bad they can't leave well enough alone. The way some were running were very inconsistent though. I think some teams have to play the sandbagging game due to bops

There is camaros in the continental challenge. Pirelli series has the Cadillac V. There is no other American cars worth anything to race. Vette controls imsa, camaro in continental, and Cadillac in pirelli. Dodge tried imsa, but went broke. So all you have left is ford and Chevy. And they are there. It also takes millions and millions to run in imsa a year. With constant rule changes, and manufacturing teams getting more advanced the private teams can't compete. No private GTLM car could come in and compete.
Don't see any Camaros in the Sebring Continental race

Dodge went broke w/o any help from IMSA --
GTLM is pretty much designed as a "factory class"
GTD (now based on GT-3 specs) is for the "privateer" team with major $$.

The Camaro teams from Continental last year are not there this year. Stevenson had 2 and moved up to GTD and since GM had no cars they wanted to allow for use in GTD Stevenson moved to Audi.
Mantella had the other Camaros in Continental and were mad at IMSA for the BoP disadvantage and moved to World Challenge driving Xbows. The Mantella Camaros are for sale if anyone is looking for a race car.
GM's strategy appears to be quite different than Porsche. Porsche seems to want to prepare customer cars to run in any/every class of racing. GM limits its support and tries to separate the brands. That's why you had Camaro in Continental, Caddy in World Challenge, Corvette in GTLM. Look for next year's GM P2/DP cars to be Cadillacs instead of Corvettes. Will be interesting if GM is willing to run the ATS-V in GTD at some point as well.

For the Chevy teams to quit because of the politics of a "race series" because of BoP says something...not enough sponsorship money, prize money to make it profitable, or too much BS to make it worth it. Winning is important but it is a show for the fans come to see their brand or driver win or their rival lose. Not that racing is a way to get rich. A program to get the privateers to be willing to enter or teams can keep going with reduced factory support needs to be in place. With "not so" stock car racing using generic cars with stickers to identify the brands. IMSA has the only at least stock appearing cars racing to get media coverage. Somehow IMSA needs to take advantage of it. It wasn't that terribly long ago IMSA closed.

Not only did Corvette get a 10kg. weight increase, it had a 5 lt. reduction in fuel capacity and a change to the restrictor. At the same time Porsche had a 10kg. weight reduction and a 1 lt. increase in fuel capacity. BoP announced for LBGP race, Milner must wear one arm in a sling. Open as to which arm.

That is total BS...IMO....Really there should be no changes to any of the cars based on the 12HR splash and dash. The dramatic changes in the weather helped or hurt all the teams in different times during to race. Top 5 all different manufactures ....that's a pretty good show...If there are no adverse weather conditions at Long Beach then maybe play with the BoP.
