Default Gil Smith Alignment Turn Plates - Any Good?

The price is right, which usually means Chinese junk. Anyone seen these before? $90 for straight up turn plates and $200 for plates with lateral movement.

They appear to be marked at the 15 and 20 degree points too.

Haven't seen them before but they look decent. Fancier than garbage bags.

That was my thought, but I remember seeing some plates on Amazon that looked decent but got some pretty rough reviews.

I've tried all the common ways to check caster garbage bags and wd40, thin pieces of laminate with salt and they're all not user friendly. It's time for a set of turn plates and I have looked at these, I'm in the same boat I would like to hear from someone who has used them. Supercharged 111 why don't you buy some and report back to us?

Thinking about it, just trying to see if there are any other guinea pigs out there at the moment.

These front plates only rotate from a single point, the better quality plates free float which eliminates bind.

I'm curious how the $200 free floating ones do, seems like that might be a better choice.

They have $200 floaters if you scroll down farther. Those caught my interest.

I almost bought these, left a message with him and then found some large lazy susans at my local hardware store that had a 1000lb rating and made my own. They work great, only 3/8" thick. I think his would work fine if you don't want to make your own.

Harbor Freight had some turn plates several years ago, i believe I paid less than $150. I have used them and made some 1x12's to get the same ride height for the rears. Other than being very heavy they worked very well. When corner weighing/aligning, I had to use some old rotors in the rear to zero out the scales--also have raised ramps for the scales.
