Default SCCA C7 classing question

I would like to add a front splitter and side skirts to my 2015 C7 Z51 - will adding these appearance mods kick me out of a SS/SSR class in SCCA?

They sure will. Side skirts will punt the car all the way to SSM; splitter is ok for SSP if it meets the rules for size, etc.

Locally, in SFR, they created a regional CAM-C7 class to let us run what we have. Our AAS club is simply allowing all C7s to run in CAM-S as long as legal entrants don't object.

Yea, I figure this allowance will last until a C7 wins, much like in any other class if in SCCA. I can trust you to choose a mode for me to best race in, right, as the clock is still blinking 12:00 and I'm at a loss?

Splitters and side skirts are really a performance mod and have the potential to reduce times a fair amount if done well.

OK - well guess I won't be going that route right now then - I just got out of SSP and don't want to go down that road again right now
thanks all!

I prefer sport mode with everything turned off, but Carrie likes track mode in either Sport 2 or Race setting. You will have to try a couple different ways and see what you like most.

I plan to try several modes. That's the advantage to autox -- spinning it doesn't cost much beyond wounded tires.

It will be the first event with my new (to me) car too.

Hope to see you there and maybe finally meet you!
