Default Need Suggestions: Transport from The Glen (NY) to Texas

Looking for suggestions and recommendations for sending a racecar from Watkins Glen to Houston, Texas, in an ENCLOSED transport. Car will be ready to leave around June 1, and we would like to get it there in a timely fashion, although cost is a prime consideration.

Also, I would welcome hearing about any transport companies TO AVOID, because of less-than-good experiences.

Naturally, first-hand experiences are most valuable to us.

Thanks in advance.
Ed

Exotic Car Transport... picked up on-time, but the car sat at their warehouse for 2 weeks before it left. Called and called and called, and they told me it was in route over and over... after i spoke with the driver when he arrived i found out otherwise...

Shipped a race car open from CA to TX using Uship, the carrier being INITIAL LOGISTICS LLC.... cheap and fast fast fast fast... that was hassleless and good experience

Callaway used Plycar to pick up and return my car. Excellent service.

I've also used Plycar in the past and highly recommend.

Thank you vey much. The carrier we used several years ago no longer does long hauls, so these current suggestions are most appreciated. I'll give a call to PLYCAR on Monday.

Default Still Need Help!

Our original customer for the racecar backed out, so I am back here looking for a few more recommendations . . . . .

We now have a commitment to purchase from an individual in Utah, near Provo. We will need the car transported in an enclosed trailer, and the ground clearance is VERY LOW.

We are hoping for first-hand experience dealing with across-the-country transport. Thanks for any additional suggestions.

I used Reliable Transport when we had our ALMS GT2 Corvette picked up from the Corvette Museum and the car arrived no issues at all. We have used them with customer cars as well and never had any issues with them.

Thanks, Anthony,

If it is not too much trouble, was there a particular person and/or telephone number contact at Reliable Transport? We have not done this for some time now, but frequently dealing with one of the "right" individuals at a company makes a difference in the results.

Regards,
Ed
