Sweet! And that is legal in scca gt2??? There are street car c5 and c6 vettes in gt2 and those will not stand a chance against a modern tube framed monster.
Tell us more about this new car.

That said, both Jordan Bupp and Bobby Kennedy have won GT2 Majors in TA2 cars,
GT2 is the most interesting class in SCCA right now, IMO. Between the Porsche Cup cars, Vipers, Vette's, TA2's, Sunbeam Tigers, late model stock cars etc. All are very fast !

It's a sweet car! Legal for GT2 with the restrictor. This car is the first TA2 Camaro to run TransAm TA2. The car debuted at Sebring 2011 and took 1st. Gregg Rodgers of Pinnacle Autosports was the driver/owner/builder. A fellow racing buddy of mine acquired it and did quite well. He got out of racing and then my wife said I just had to have it...we were looking to upgrade #13 to an LS3 motor anyway....so, next best thing LOL! The RaceTech seat has been shipped, getting the car fitted to me over the next few weeks.

Great car, looks like racing is getting fun again with all the choices and tech that is allowed to be used. Wish I was young again!

Thank you! Finishing out the season in #13 then it becomes the backup* car and getting the #79 TA2 setup for me. I might run some non-SCCA races in the TA2 later this year to get up to speed on the new car, along with test days, etc. Car has more power, aero, different weight bias, all things that I need to adjust to.
*I had to withdraw from the SCCA Hallett Majors this year due to some issues with the #13 QC rear-end. It was making heinous noises when we dyno'ed it. Sent the QC in for a rebuild and bought another one so we would not be in this situation again but still did not have enough time between races to get it back going *SAFEYLY* again. Hence, the reason to have a backup car. I *could've* ran at Hallett but my conscience would NOT let me...my fear was that the rear would grenade and that would equal bad results, i.e. = locking up the rear tires, loss of control, hitting the wall, hitting a fellow competitor, etc...that is why I withdrew, safety first! I did not want to be *THAT* guy! So, always having two fully-prepped race cars in the same class (GT2) should mean I can run every race I want to...but there still is Murphy's Law...LOL!
