Default Looking for HPDE / track instruction in central Texas

I was looking to get some track time in this fall hopefully with an instructor for a first timer. I would rather not have to drive up to DFW to hit up Cresson. COTA is very close as is Harris Hill. I heard TWS is closing...

Looks like The Drivers Edge only has two Cresson events left in 2016. Anyone know other places to check?

TDE has an event at TWS in October, and a second in December. They won't close before those events.

Check if Audi Club (ACNA) or BMW (BMWCCA) have any events in your area. They both run excellent programs.

If you are in Austin, you should definitely check out The Driveway. They do all-day classes with a small group for first timers, and they they offer 4-hour one-on-one sessions. Once you have completed either of those, you qualify to come any time they have the open track sessions and purchase 30m sessions (they are not expensive).

I have done the 1-day entry level there. The short course is a good course to learn on. I need to get back and do the next level so that I can do the full course.

If you really have not driven before, I think this is an excellent starting point before you attend one of the track days. Just my $0.02 worth...

MSR Houston is a good track, like it more than Cresson. Driver's Edge also instructs out there
