C7 Z51 brake pads on a road course W/O rings
I am tracking my C7 Z51 for exactly one day this year. I'm running Road America where I have plenty of experience in my old C6 Grand Sport using Hawk race pads, DBA slotted rotors, and Mutol 600.
I am intending to run the factory C7 Z51 brake pads and Mutol 600 fluid. I run about 8/10ths entering most corners.
Will these factory brake pads get the job done for four 20 minute sessions, and do I need to install the cheesy cooling rings?

With your experience and the high speeds at Rd America I would be very careful with stock stuff. I know I'll be changing the rotors to true solid in the near future and get rid of those rings.

Melting Slicks
I think the pads will be fine, but I would put in better fluid.
I drove a students Callaway 650 Z51 car on the stock PSS tires and I boiled the fluid in about 5 laps at NOLA but the pads felt good.
