Default C6 Z06 HPDE 18/19 tires

Currently I am running 275/325 R888s on OEM rims to drive 100 miles to the track, run 3-4 sessions and drive home. Very experienced driver and I just had HCI work done with ~ 600RWHP (K501 cam). Previously I had minor rub at the rear from NT05 335/30-19's.

What are the best DOT track tires & sizes for use above (OEM 18/19 wheels) that will not throw codes? I do not consider Hoosiers appropriate to drive to the track. Suspension is stock and I run track pads with my front Wilwood Aero6 Calipers with 4" cooling ducts from the front grill. Rear brakes are stock with track pads for HPDE's.

I would recommend Bridgestone RE-11's (200 treadwear) for stock wheels. The following video is me running Bridgestone Potenza Pole Positions (280 treadwear) which is a good tire but not as sticky as the RE-11's. Also the Pole Positions are Runflats while the RE-11's are NON-Runflats.

NCM 2016 @ VIR
Sorry, those are street tires, not DOT track tires that can actually be driven to events on the street and are not as good as my PSS street tires.

They are nowhere near as sticky as Toyo R888's (DOT track tires that I can drive to the events) in stock size which I already have. I'm looking for info on DOT track tires that may be wider, than stock 275/325 18/19's but don't throw codes and don't rub when driven aggressively at HPDE's.

No worries. What is the difference between DOT track tires and street tires? I thought everything but Hoosiers where technically "DOT street tires." What would the Sport Cup2's be considered?

I guess I should have been more precise and stated I am looking for DOT legal Competition tires that could reasonable be driven at least 100 miles to the event and then back again.

The PSC2's are street legal Competition tires and the difference between great street tires and DOT competition tires is about 0.2G and a whole lot less tread wear. The max width of the PSC2' in 19" are 325 and are N-spec which is designed for Porsche.

I've been advised that the R888's in 295/30-18 and 345/30-19 will not throw codes and should not rub.

Is it absolutely out of the question to change wheels/tires at the track? To tow?

I think the problem you're going to have is with correct alignment for DOT legal tires like R888, you're going to prematurely wear them with even a couple hundred miles to and fro.

Someone a while ago demonstrated you can fit 4 spare wheels+tires in the hatch + pass seat if you REALLY have no other way to haul.

I don't think you'll have problems with "codes" with any of the tires you've mentioned. I've run 325/710/19 G5000 Continental slicks and this is an extreme delta front to rear vs what you're looking at, and no problems w/ AH, ABS, etc. (2007 C6Z.) They do rub a bit though..

I'm running 1.7*/1.5* now and the R888's wear heaviest on the outside, will be flipping them before the next event. While that setting wears out the street tires on the inside, they still time out at 5 years for another event (more than 22k Miles on the PSS@5years).

I've tow'd before in past lives. The Z is just a fun car, not doing it for competition.
