Default Auto Crossing

I live in Orange County, NY. Anyone know of any auto-cross events scheduled for the Spring?

Default there will be many...

Join SCCA and your local Corvette Club, which makes you a member of National Councel of Corvette Clubs. Go to their websites. I believe in both cases as a member you are covered under their liability insurance. (crap can happen, lol) Also, as a member, you get a discount, and some are even free in my area for members. Some autocross events are not on Motorsportreg.com. You'll find some nearby clubs run conflicting events on the same day, you can pick and choose. Look for test and tunes also--it's the same thing, no points but I've done about 20-25 runs in a day at those if hardly anyone signs up--what a bargain!

What he said.

Lime Rock also has autocross events -- no 2017 dates posted yet

Or if you move south -- it's a 12 month activity

Come on out and run with us this Sunday in Fontana at Auto Club Speedway (in the parking lot):

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...solo-ii-898638

A C6 runs in AS (A Street) class which is currently slated to run in the last run group for the day (although unfortunately registration at the event closes at 12, so you have to be there to get checked in before the lunch break). There's a novice course walk during the lunch break and you'll have to do one work session (probably ******** cones for the group that's working while you run). We have instructors available to help you with those first few laps. Typically 4 competition laps guaranteed, but perhaps an extra because attendance is light. PM if you'd like more info.

I like cal club a lot, but even at that it seems like you're expecting him to drive pretty far for an event.

(wrong Orange County... wrong coast even :p)

Oooops!

My bad....didn't read the fine print. Might be a little far for 4 runs!

Although to be fair, dhowdy, you've been known to put in the miles to run at times!

My bad...just ignore me over here!

You'll want to check out the website http://www.autox4u.com that lists a lot of events in the NY area.

Take a ride down Route 17 into NJ and run at MetLife stadium in Rutherford NJ!

There are 3 clubs that run on Long Island, although only 2 had events last year due to the construction at the Nassau Coliseum. Scca had events at Bald Hill and Splish Splash last year and the Porsche club was at Bald Hill and Tobay beach.

Met life is a nicer venue, but I hear its more crowded and therefore fewer runs.
