Default LG G1 sway bars vs GM T1 sway bars

Same thing? Any difference in fit or performance?

I happen to come across this anti-sway bar chart on Pfadt's web sites

I weighed and measured 2 sets side by side a couple of years ago.

Same bend, same weight, same diameter.

Unless they are a different alloy and heat treat???

Nice purple paint though.

i thought the G1s were larger than the T1?

of course wall thickness could easily make up for that.

but if blkbird says they weighed the same, assuming the same type of steel, they should have identical rates.

I'm running the LG G1. Decided to go with those after a lot of research between that and T1. No great reason behind the decision, everything I saw, even from LG, pointed to the fact that they were the same.

Is anyone running te Pfadt Heavy Rate sways? I'm very curious on the difference between those and T1. I avoided anything bigger than T1 spec due to how many complaints about how harsh even the T1's were on the street. All of that is nonsense, it's not harsh AT ALL. Now...I'm curious what the Pfadt bars are like.

Might want to look at the questionable design of the Pfat bars. Yes the bar itself is stiffer but the deflection is off, and have seen many examples of broken ones.
If you are still on bushings, that is a lot of the deflection not the T1 bars.
Everything I understand the T1 is plenty stiff for real slicks, matched with proper spring rates.

The RideTech MuscleBars have an interesting design to them. I have not used them but would like to hear if any one else has and also how they compare to the LG/T1 sway bars.

The only disappointment of those bars is the price.....for $2000.00 I'd like to to see some real data regarding performance, etc.

You have got to be kidding me?

At least Phadt bars are "pretty" despite the fallacious engineering for looks vs. performance.

Ask yourself what a sway bar does?
Then ask yourself if an expensive multi-piece, multi-material bar does it better?
Does it solve or help a problem, or create numerous others?

What they'll do is put a dent in the budget.

According to the destructions, they have two position adjustments.

I have used on the track the Pfadt Heavy, Pfadt light, and LG G1s on a C6Z. I broke the arms on 2 sets of Pfadts, but the heavys never felt right no matter where I adjusted them. Went stiffer on the dampening and tried the Light rates...a little better, but couldn't get anything right on the track once again. Slapped on LG G1s (with G2 coils)...and WOW...this is what a track car should fee like.

The Pfadt Heavy Rate bars were on the C6Z I bought a few years ago. They work fine and so far haven't failed. The car won a TTU Championship in 2011 and held a few track records using those bars.

If I had a problem with them I would go with the LG's and may still before there is a failure which seems over time is probably inevitable. I have seen other pfadt bar ends fail.

Keep in mind that a sway bar is nothing more than a horizontal torsion bar.

btw - If you're breaking sway bars (not the links but the bar itself) there is a serious problem.

After checking out the price on the Ride Tech sway bar I think the Porsche bars are an absolute bargain. I never thought it possible that Corvette parts prices would exceed 911 prices. We're in a new era here.

I agree....there was a serious design problem using a steel bar and aluminum bar end arms on the Pfadt design. LG had a video IIRC and explanation of how the Pfadt bars were actually acting as a secondary leaf spring (not really a torsion bar), and the design itself with the links and arm pointing straight up was not effective.
