C5 Z06 2001-2004 Wheels sizes.
So the factory wheels are
front 17 x 9.5
rear: 18 x 10.5
Can you run 18" all around for track use or do most of you find good enough tires in both 17 & 18" sizes.
There are no MICHELIN® Pilot® Sport Cup 2 tires in 17"
What are you C5 guys running for tires ?
front 17 x 9.5
rear: 18 x 10.5

The challenge can be finding tires that match for the two different size wheels. Many people will pick up a second pair of rear wheels and put them on the front. This allows you to rotate the tires or move them side to side to even out wear.
Sind this is a popular thing to do in the track world, the 18x10.5 wheels are sold quickly used and people get a decent buck for them. I'd advise skipping the hunt for used ones and just call Bob's house of wheels and order two new wheels. I've gone both routes and unless they fall in my lap I'll just buy new ones when I need more.
You have to scour the classifieds and CL to try to find them. When you do they sell quickly if your not the first to see them. The sellers get between 150-200 a wheel. And the wheels are 15 years old and you have no idea about their history. The first time you know they are true is when your tire is being mounted and balanced on them. Skip the unknown, skip dealing with people on CL, and skip the wait. Bob should give me a deal for this post!
If your going this route, hang onto those front 17's. Those are dirt cheap and could make a good rain wheel if you end up with a rain set. If your a DE guy they are fine, if you compete my guess is they are not ok. I don't compete so I'm not sure

To echo what the others have written, the factory 18" X 10.5" C5Z wheels are well made and light weight. Running these "square" is the way to go to maximize tire wear and I find that the car really could use wider tires than the stock 9.5" wheels allow. I've just tried the Maxxis RC-1's in 275/35-18 and was very pleased with the wear and grip. Lots of guys run Nitto NT01's in 315 on the same wheels.

Any ride height adjustments necessary when going to the 18x10.5 wheel up front? That wheel/tire combo is larger diameter than the stock 17x9.5 wheel/tire.
