Looking forward to it! Yesterday, I opened up the checklist of things to pack to start to get organized.

I'm missing my usual partner-in-crime who isn't coming this time, which will hopefully allow me to spend some more time meeting new folks!

I'll c'ya there!! Look for my Laguna Blue C7 Z06 in the northwest corner of the paddock (we'll be staying in the Paddock Suites, so park over near there). Stop by and say hi!

Lookin' forward to the event - this will be I think my 10th year!

I will also be in the paddock suites with my Laguna Blue Z51. Looking forward to a great event. Weather looks pretty good right now.

I think my oldest NCM shirt from VIR is 2008 so that would make this the 10th year. See you there

October 2005. The program planning started shortly after I joined the NCM and consisted of a folder in the corner of my desk. On 12/4/04 I attended the Audi VIR event bringing a friend with me. When we walked in to registration to check in Marc N said it was my fault that there were 27 Corvettes registered. For years I was the lonely corvette at all of their events. That is where I happened on Tom Bohlmann and asked him if he would like to join me in planning an NCM HPDE program. The people at the NCM fought the program up to and including the board which ordered me to stop. you can see how well that worked.

I should add that I brought John Spencer, Launch Engineer, to that event with his Capture Test Fleet Z06 and which he let several of us drive around. It was John talking to Tom Wallace that led Wallace to contact me and that's how we got GM involved.

I'll be there but it'll be driving my F80 M3 this time. The new Z doesn't have enough miles on it to track it yet.

BTW, is anyone interested in a pair of 325/660-18 Pirelli slick scrubs? I bought them for my C7Z but aren't going to use them. Purchased from grtacingtires and I never mounted them. $200 for the pair and I'll bring them to the track.

Great event, as it has been in past years!!

It was good to meet a few forum members - Chris (mallett435) and Truth (truth.b) were right in my area of the paddock, so I got to meet them.

I was busy with my student so wasn't able to get around the rest of the paddock and talk with as many others as I wanted to, but I had a great time at the event - and the weather couldn't have been better!!!

Here's a video of a few laps in my C7 Z06:
