Default C3 corvette (78) what seats are you using for track days ?

I am looking to install these for track days. What is everyone else using and how to you like them ?

I know people have installed Corbeau A4's in C3's and these seem to fit better as far a size go's, but mounting I think I will need to custom fab something.

I would be loosing about 30Lbs / seat. Total 60Lbs weight loss. Current seats weigh 35 LBS each.

I have Corbeau A4s in mine currently but will likely swap to an OMP or Sparco fixed back seat when it returns from the current round of updates/modifications. I have an OMP halo seat in my 2016 and it is actually really comfortable. I will probably pull it out and see how well it could fit the 71 before I decide.

Corbeau Forzas in mine. Cheap, non-reclining, relatively light weight. I've had them in the car for 14 years with no structural problems, however the cloth covering is torn on the driver's side so it's just about time to replace.

Do you have any pictures of how they mount to the seats / body of the car.

Unfortunately no pictures. I believe I ordered the brackets from Speed Direct. It was supposed to be a bolt in deal but the brackets didn't fit all that great. They did bolt to the factory floor pan locations. I believe I broke something recently though and need to revisit the seat mounting solution.

I went with the 1978 Pace-car seats.

They are the 1979-82 (plastic) seats with 2” higher bolster.
You get half the weight (of your steel seats), a fair butt-support and keep your OEM look.
