Default C6 Z06 caliper on a C5 brake line routing

I could really use some help on my brake kit install.
I've looked everywhere and all i can find about the brake line routing was one post talking about pointing the line down at the caliper. Well I did that, about the 5 oclock position, and it sure seems wrong.
My lines are going straight down from the body hard line and then rubbing against the edge of the lower control arm. They then loop up to the caliper. When I turn to full lock the line is buckled up so tight it is nearly in contact with the rim.
Is this correct?
My old lines on the stock C5 brakes went up from the caliper into an S shape.
With the center line banjo bolt on the C6 brakes this didn't seem correct either as the line would buckle into the rim.
I also have a coilover suspension so i need to be mindful of not getting the line into the coils too.
Any pics of your stainless line installation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
