Default 315 R888 on 9.5 inch whell for track

For Toyo, i need 10.5 to 12.5 inch Wheel
I just have some 9.5 (from front 1990 ZR1)

Some of you use these on 315 35 17 R888 ?
(i have read some mustang guys who use 315 R888 on 9.5 inch without issue, but not sure if they use on track)

Only track use for these tires

My personal opinion is that you'll have far too much sidewall movement with the tires being pinched to fit on a 9.5" rim. No way I'd run that on a road course. At the speeds we play, my motto is "better safe than sorry".

You want the C4 Grand Sport rear wheel not a ZR1 wheel. I take it you have a C5. I used to run 315/35/17 at all 4 corners of my 97 and 03 C5s. I used 1996 Corvette Grand Sport Rear Wheels. They were identical to the ZR1 wheels except they had a different offset that let them fit under the standard C4 rear quarter panels. If you use the C4 ZR1 wheels with the ZR1 offset the tires will stick out about an inch and a half in the front and an inch in the rear. As it is with the GS offset the tires will still stick out about an inch in the front and a half inch in the rear. On tight turns like in a garage the rim barrels would contact the rear of the lower control arm and if there were any wheel weights glued there they would be stripped off the wheel.

This is what the C5Z looked like with these wheels:

I would not. Tire is a little to wide for that rim.

^Agreed.

I have 315 Rival S tires on a 10.5" rim and I wouldn't run them on anything smaller. Even a 10" rim would pinch them a bit too much for my taste. I think the MFG recommendation is 10.5-12" for a 315.

I ran Yokohama AVS Intermediate 315/35 17s on factory 17x9.5s on my '93 when I was college kid saving for Grand Sport wheels. I never had a problem on the street but I wouldn't track it. It did take some serious pressure to mount the tire.
