Mercedes technical staff : major disruption to come in 2019.
Aldo Costa, the designer of the V6 H, will act as the team's Technical Advisor. He will spend "more time with his family in Italy".
At the same time, John Owen, Chief Designer, will become the director of the chassis department, and will only have James Allison, the technical director, as his superior.
Mark Ellis, 54, performance director, has decided to take a sabbatical year from mid-2019. Loïc Serra will replace him.
Mercedes underlines that it will call on internal talent to replace these departures. Is this just another sign that the Mercedes era is coming to an end ?

Last year and this, the car is losing front grip badly when following another car. That has to be addressed ASAP since Ferrari are now as fast as the Silver Arrows. Since Gerrari have found more power this year, MB will have to increased engine development also. And PDQ! lol

Thank you to all, Nowanker, Sunsalem and TrackAire who reminds this terrible headbutt of ''Zizou'' against Matterazzi.
This ''French 11'' is so young, the 2nd most young after Nigeria.
Hope to see a US team in world cup one day as some countries which were not really culturally in soccer, as Japan and South Corea. It's a matter of time, that will happen. It is the Tour de France at the moment and you have had great champions like Armstrong and especially the 1st, Greg LeMond, I liked very much Greg, it was the 1st US on ''le Tour de France'' by bike, and he really won ''le Tour'' on ''Les Champs'' in 1986 in the last stage, a dramatic Tour, memorable. Greg was very popular in France, he was on a French team.

The US will likely get in the Cup again but I don't see the US being a power for a long time if ever. Major League Soccer is doing well in Atlanta but fewer kids are playing Soccer in the States. Lacrosse is currently on the rise taking many of the kids which would play soccer. You may find this article interesting on the challenge of sports in the US:

I have a nephew who plays travel Lacrosse and the expense and time to play is absurd in my opinion. He has a step brother in travel baseball and the time is even more demanding.

Haas driver Santino Ferrucci’s career could be over:
https://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2018/...rmula-two-ban/
Although officially Haas has said it is still investigating the matter, I think he is out.
Hamilton signs 2 year extension:

It's interesting he decided to imply Ferrari had approached him.

In order not to compromise his chances of victory in two weeks in Budapest, on a circuit that should perfectly suit the Red Bull, Ricciardo should take strategic penalties this weekend in Hockenheim. At best it will take 10 places, at worst the last depending on the PU elements to change, beginning with the ICE and the last evo of the MGU K.

Air temp 26° C, track 38.
Ricc runned over a can, I don't know if it was an RB can...but the can was cut in 2 parts by the carbon ! Sunday, He will start from the last grid.
Giovi lost an half hood engine. A disaster for the MCL33, Williams seems to have find something better, just a bit.
Féfé was in S only for evaluation.

RBR seems easy here. This situation was not expected. Schumi's record 2004 track broken by Bottas, Hamilton and again by Verstappen.
The pilots can get 20 laps on the U tyres, the M seems better than the S because of the temperature. A lot of blistering on the U.

Just got my tickets for COTA! This will be second year for us. 2017 was our first year and we got GA tickets. This year we will be in Turn 12. All the good seats on Turn 15 sold out, or at least the ones we wanted. Still should be a good view I'm hoping.

T12 is a good place, just after the DRS Zone. I am always very impressed by this climb from the start line, a mountain to clim and fight at T1
