Renault wants to see some standardization of engine components:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...ims_Abiteboul/
If ya can't beat 'em, whine.
Seriously for a moment....we do need some kind of parity with powerunits.
The lack of competitiveness because of the current powerunit spec has made watching F1 a challenge for many fans.

Vergne coming back to F1?

Grosjean knows he HAAS () to do well at Spa:

I like Grosjean...he is capable of great results.
Sometimes his on-track judgements (emotions) are a problem.

Official :

Gasly with Crashtappen at Manufacturer of soda to get sick, Salzburg Austria. What about Hartley ? Perhaps Norris or JEV (Jean-Eric Vergne) and Ticktum ? 2 buckets at STR

Marko the one-eyed pirate chats with Mc, the issue is James Key and pre-pubescent boy Norris. RBR also approached JEV but JEV only wants RBR or nothing. Meanwhile, Norris will be in FP in Spa instead of Nando and probably also in Monza instead of Vandoorne, nobody here put 1€ on Vandoorne. A new coup de théâtre is possible at Spa : Baby Stroll at F$, Force Stroll, Ocon in place of Vandoodoo

Marko the pirat for the 2nd bucket of STR talks with Ticktum, he needs points on his licence but his federation can give 5 points to climb in F1.

Perez : just a question of time for announce, he stays at F$. Ocon, supported by Toto at Mc, payed by Merco, but it's not official.

About Spa, forecast will be bad and very fresh temperature, in France we say Spa is the pot chamber of Belgia, rain can occure suddenly and only on one sector, more news thursday but rain expected from friday to sunday evening.

we don't need parity. What we need is some common sense and open testing.

All this testing freeze and PU limits has turned evertying over to FEA, CFD and wind tunnel testing which ONLY the VERY rich can afford.

What did they think was gonna happen???

The ONLY way to save F1 from it's eventual demise is for a DICKtator to step in and put a set of (logical) rules in place!

Part of 'logic' would include - for example - all teams allowed more testing than the top 3 teams. Make it 4-5 times per season where all but top 3 get to test either after the race or before?? That would count like an extra practice day.

LIMIT the use of wind tunnels and all the CFD work and instead do more testing at the track.

Want to make it really interesting? How about all but top 2/3 teams get one extra specification of tire? OR, 5 more liters of fuel? Or this, or that.....

There are a 100 ways to fix F1 TOMORROW without costing an arm and a leg, yet nobody wants to hear it because every team wants to be selfish and only do what is beneficial for them, not the sport.

CFD/wind tunnel fan on time is significantly cheaper per minute than on track testing. More accurate? Not always, and this is the problem. The scale wind tunnels, as soon as they have the fans up to speed, they immediately start running the model through ride height sweeps, steer angles, yaw angles, etc. etc. etc. The issue arises when there's not great correlation between what works in CFD or the tunnel and what works on the track. The teams are allowed more CFD time than tunnel time, and more tunnel time than track time.

An allowance for increased engine parts or tire testing/testing days for teams in reverse proportion to the Championship points or something like that would help, but then you have the poorest team needing to pay for more engines, tires, travel, etc. etc. etc. so it's really an un-ending spiral.

Ah finally ! the F1 summer break is over ! hello guys and also girls, even if I've never seen some here !

This is the longest, most "almost natural" circuit and one of the most thrilling in the championship, the "toboggan des Ardennes".

Well, good news for Merco, it will be very cool after the heat of the last days, 14 ° C Saturday and 19 Sunday with rain ! I saw "Fisico" (Fisichella) going out to the raidillon and smash his Renault in the rain, with rain if it is there, it will be hot !

What will the teams choose : to be fast in sector 1 and 3 and to sacrifice the holding in sector 2 very sinuous? to unbrake the wings to favour the speed in Kemmel and the overtakings ? it will be a headache.

Agressive choice of tyres for Ferrari, as usual and for Williams.

Beautiful view of the sector 2

The most beautiful overtaking in Spa, anthological, Mika on Schumi and Zonta, Spa 2000

Perhaps a new "coup de théâtre" for Force India, perhaps no starting at Spa this we, this is really an amazing season : traduction Français-English for you by deepl, excuse me if faults. Source : F1i.fr

All the logistics are presents since today but legally it's impossible to race at this time !

"the takeover of the Silverstone-based formation is not yet fully completed.

Stroll and its partners currently own the assets of Force India but still do not own the legal structure, Force India Limited.

The thirteen Indian banks that are creditors of Vijay Mallya and Subrata Roy, the team's former owners, have not yet formally approved the sale of Force India Limited. However, the sale cannot be made without their consent, Mallya and her partner Roy holding 85% of the capital of the stable.

As the new owners of Force India still do not have the legal structure of the team, they cannot legally align their team under the name Force India at the start of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.

This gives rise to a strange situation in the Spa-Francorchamps paddock to say the least: the team's mechanics are currently busy removing all the mentions'Force India', whether on single-seaters, trucks, garages, etc (see photo above).

A solution for Stroll and his associates would be to align their new team under a new name, but they must for that to obtain the agreement of the FIA and especially of the nine other teams of the plate, which is not gained ! Case to follow..."

Bob Fernley Force India, vice-technical director after Vijay but the real us on the GPs actually, (because Vijay prevented from moving GP out UK), is fired by Dady $troll.

If it starts like that, ejecting those who made FI, this team will soon look like Williams.

Lawrence Stroll paid for his son's tub at Williams until the end of the season, so he could very well send Ocon to Williams or Kubi would take the son's place at Williams and that from Monza...the rumors.

Merco will introduce a new evolution at Spa, Spec 3 as well as Féfé (Hass and Sauber already benefited from it as guinea pig), consequently if Bottas benefits from it, the Finn has already exhausted his Turbo and MGU-H (limited to three specimens for each of these three elements this season), he will have to leave at the bottom of the grid.

Hülkenberg should also suffer several penalty places. The German rider should benefit from a complete powertrain change this weekend, he was already short of new units for each of the six contingent elements that make up a Turbo H V6.

From Spa, another championship will begin: that of penalties.

Nobody will be able to keep up with Honda:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...ith_Honda8217/
I think Marko has a point...it looks like Honda is ready to outspend every other manufacturer.

Alonso turned down RB?
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...ed_Bull_offer/
Not sure whether to believe or not...
One thing is certain: RB would have scored more points next season with FA rather than Gasly.
However, it could have destroyed RB's relationship with Max in the process.

Sahara Force India changes its name and consequently will lose the 59 points accumulated in the championship by the Vijay Mallya team.

The name is now Racing Point Force India and this new legal and economic entity will be able to participate in the Spa race tomorrow by the FIA !

I have no idea what a constructor's championship point is worth in cash, but I suspect it's a bunch.
Did they weigh out the relative benefits of racing at Spa vs. flushing 59 points of cash down the toilet?
Do they care?
"daddy, buy me a formula one team!"
