On board with Esteban : video from FIA : https://www.formula1.com/en/video/20...pen_clash.html
the FIA stewards of the FIA had considered that Ocon was fully responsible, imposing a severe stop and go of 10 seconds.
However, this new video and the radio communications it contains suggest that responsibilities are a little more shared between the two men.
We learn that Verstappen was fully aware that Ocon was coming back hard on him. We hear him say to his team at the 43rd lap of the race (blue flag on lap 42, no blue flag on lap 43...), a loop before their clash: "I have this Force India right behind me who puts pressure on me".
One may wonder why NL Crashtappen tried at all costs to defend its position against Ocon, knowing that the French rider was in any case one lap behind and benefited above all from a set of new tyres. Crashta couldn't have ignored that Esteban was on his right on the kerb (vibrator ?).
Opportunistic winner of the GP, Ham V had himself indicated at Verstappen in the cool room that he would have adopted a different approach than the pilot to the drink harmful to the health of children and teenagers ...

Haas throws in the towel in its battle with Renault for 4th:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...le_for_fourth/
They almost made it.
Still, very impressive for a 3rd year team started from scratch.

Behind the scenes with Liberty, a new Concorde Agreement, etc.:

I'll bet Liberty now wishes they hadn't bought the thing.
Niki determined to make it to Abu Dhabi:

Good luck trying to keep Lauda down.

Now we know why VW declined entering F1 (again):
https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/16/busin...ars/index.html
It's past time hoping we will see Audi or Porsche on the grid any time soon.

How broken was Max's car after Ocon smack?
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...car_in_Brazil/
The interesting takeaway is RB claiming this year's car makes about 500lbs. of downforce.

The images are mind-blowing, impressive, and to be honest, chilling. On Sunday in Macau, during an F3 race, the young German woman Sophia Flörsch, barely 17 years old, experienced a terrible crash in the fourth lap of the race. While the cars were closely following each other, its, has touched the car in the front, flew away at over 200 km/h, crossed the rails and safety fences to finish his race. No dead, 5 injuried

I would like to know what caused that crash.
Why was she traveling so fast?

She was backwards in the wall before she contacted the yellow car and went airborne. I'm guessing contact, broken suspension, and maybe no brakes.
Was anyone in that structure she hit?
Glad it wasn't worse than it was.
Have a good one,
Mike

This BBC series on Nando is very interesting, I learned behind the scenes of the pit where Nando blocks Ham 0, the real reason for all this. Nando is a knight but like V4, his worst enemy is himself, his character. If no team manager wants him, he knows why, there are actions that leave indelible traces: betraying his team in this way and then benefiting from the Singapore 2008 crashgate is not fair play. An extraordinary driver, endowed with a rare intelligence of the race, great strategist but who outside the cockpit has harmed himself, it is a pity that the story ends this way, with an exit from F1 for one of the best F1 drivers of all time : If he had been at Fefé's this year 2018, he would have had the title

Perez nails it:
http://gptoday.com/full_story/view/6...bad_F1_isquot/
Of the 22 cars that line up on the grid for each race, only 6 have the potential to win a race or championship.
IMO, the lack of competitiveness crushes the sporting side of F1 and that's a shame...it doesn't have to be this way.

The biggest problem is the 2 works teams have the latest engines as well as the R&D experience which went into them, and as such a big advantage over the field.

LOL, you have a point.
I can't even recall a team other than the big 3 winning a race during this turbo/hybrid era...
Absolutely right.

Only 2 teams have the chance to win the championship and you can add 1 more to win a few races. Majority of F1 seasons since the end of the DFV era only had 2-3 teams that could win the championship. The problem is now the random victories by anyone other than 3 the big teams is becoming increasingly rare. I miss the days of teams like Jordan winning random races in addition to Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, etc.

Kimi in a Lotus back in 2013 at Australia was the last win by a team other than Ferrari, Mercedes, or RBR, assuming I'm not blind (which has happened)

Remember the 2012 Abu Dhabi race when Kimi made his infamous "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing" radio message?
Maybe he will say something awesome in this race too.
