Default Any experience installing Kerry Hitt carbon body?

Hi All,

My C6/Z06 Carbon is undergoing a Kerry Hitt body tranform...

Vented front fenders look OK. Rear Quarters are a little odd with the Katech carbon/lexan deck lid.

But the main issue involves the rocker panels. They appear to be 1 inch too short. Anyone running the Kerry Hitt body and have any similar issues? The 1 inch is a bit too much for me to file under "race parts."

Wondering if we have the correct rocker? If you have time to have a look and advise we'd be grateful:

Looks pretty short. They aren't known for the best for but this is pretty bad. I only did one c6 kit of his and don't remember having this problem. Unless you cut it"into" the front fender I'm not sure I see a solution!!

not sure how his mounds could be that short unless you got the version for the old c6 body on c5 chassis.......

well he's a good guy. off racing his cadillac this week. hopefully when he gets back it will be something simple like the WC version/wrong part or something like that.

and i should mention: MORE COWBELL.

also if you've been coaching ultimate street car maybe you know rich wilhoff who is big in that world, and his shop has done some work on this car.

thanks for looking at least

Just because he is at the track, does not mean he will not answer his phone. I have called him when he has been at the track before, and he gladly helped me.

I want to say at somepoint, we had a larger wheel opening, but the fender met it. Maybe you have a WC rocker, and a wide body fender? There were SEVERAL iterations of the rear (and front) fenders depending on the sanctioning body and the rules.... I know I had some for Rolex series, that did not have the integration into that rocker.

Good luck, kerry is a good guy. I never had time to wait, so I usually fixed it myself.

The GA never had the wide rockers or the fenders with the matching flange to it.

I do recall on one of the cars we had to cut the door pretty good to get it all to line up because the door hit the fender. I'm going to say the rocker needs to be lengthened.

That being said, that front fender was never used in any Pro Series so possibly that is pulling the rocker forward?

Just tying a bow on this thread -- Kerry is a wonderful guy. Like seriously good people.

He's all over this -- and I had the wrong rocker -- he's sending the correct one.

Thanks y'all for chiming in with help as always.
