Steering Pull Under Hard Braking
Ok track guys...does this mean anything specific to you?
I was driving my C7Z with Chin at Sebring this past Saturday. Car was behaving normally through three sessions. In the fourth session about midway through, I got a strong leftward pull under braking into turn 3. I had the wheel cocked a good 20-30 deg to the right to brake in a straight line. The left pull continued for a lap or two (but less than during that braking). Now back in 'street mode', it's essentially fine again with perhaps an extremely slight pull to the left. I've dissected the car while swapping back to street tires and brake pads. No eccentrics have moved. I'm having toe checked tomorrow at the dealer (my toe adjustment kit arrives later this week). The pistons didn't seem to have any problems when swapping pads back.
So what in the world caused this to happen?

i’m running ST-43s. love them. I was in PTM Sport 1. Didn’t feel like ABS was activated.

+1 for the Raybestos pads. Porterfield was backordered on the ST43s, suggested ST45s instead. Good bite, easy modulation, zero fade. Drove them to and from, they don't scream on the street and actually work pretty well when cold. Reasonably priced for a race pad and seem pretty friendly to the discs. Don't know why they aren't more popular!
