Cool video!
I competed against John Greenwood in IMSA GT during the 1970s. I drove a more or less "stock" (original) 1969 L-88 coupe. This was before the "bus stop" at Daytona. I remember running about 180 mph down the back straight into the north banking, and noticing John Greenwood's "batmobile Spirit of Sebring" coming behind me. His "official" speed is listed at around 220 to 230mph, but I remember the speed noted in Competiton Press for that day listed his top speed as "254 mph". It certainly seemed that fast as his slipstream moved me around as he passed by. "The car would go 230-235 miles per hour-it would enter the banking at Daytona at 221 miles an hour, and I didn't lift at all!JG"

Enjoyed the in-car action. This video is exactly why I detest those bullshit paddle shifters. It takes some skill to steer with one hand, shift with the other, and work the clutch and gas pedal with the feet.
That's driving!

I never paid much attention to the Greenwood Corvettes until I saw one in action at the Monterrey Historics two or three years ago. It was hugely fast and impressively driven, just like the car in this video.

I spent some time in the Paddock of Brad and Debbie Briscoe. He runs the newly restored Greenwood Customer Car, chassis 10, which was the only small block customer car. It was built for Rick Manusco to compete in the SCCA Trans Am series. It is beautiful. So is Debbie's Alfa and what nice people!
There was a recreation of the DeLorenzo A/P Vette paddocking with them.
Brad was kind to invite Burt Greenwood and family to come up, see the car and watch the racing.
I must have spent an hour hanging around them listening to Burt and one of the old crewmembers tale about the cars and times. It was a fantastic time for a now old man who was a college kid crewing with a pair of Vettes out of Daytona during the mid 70s.
What a day!

This clip isn't of a Greenwood, but it's quite entertaining as well...

I agree, Mike is a great guy and very fast. However, he usually can only keep pace with Jody when he has his "HSR motor" in, when he has his SVRA legal 327 it is much harder! Both cars are prepped by the same genius Curt Geatches. It also was one of, if not the first, 63 FI Corvette on the East Coast. My Dad had the car restored in the early 90's and it has been great being friends with Mike most of that time. Also, I would say that Jody if prob packing more than 750hp!
