AWESOME, Dale - thank you! Just renewed my passport a few months ago, I do quite a bit of international...and I've got 600K+ AA miles to use, so first class for wifey and I for free (well, if you count all of the butt-miles I've done I guess you could say it took a chunk out of me and really is not free LOL!).

Our grandstand seats were perfect... Shade, a view of the pits, the entrance to the front straight, the front straight & the first turn.
Meet the drivers.

Wife and I were talking about doing this trip on our own for 2018 - I think the way you did it is the best! I've never been to France, been to Germany more times than I can count, Spain a bit...but I studied French in high school and college - I'll finally get to use it - you know, at a kindergarten level at best LOL!! Oui, Oui!!

If you are real race die hards you can stay at the track all night... I opt'd to take the last bus back around 10 pm.

I always try to stay up for the whole thing but I usually get a few hours of shut eye and then wake up around 6 am to finish it out. The night driving is amazing (but it does tend to put me to sleep). I've fallen asleep a few times at the Rolex 24...something about V8 race cars is soothing to me...

LeMans is an event, not just a race. Thousands of British/Dutch/Danes/Germany etc.. People know racing, love it, stay all night, don't care about weather. Food is amazing, best race Ive ever attended, only others I want to hit is Spa and the 24 hour of Hockenheim and maybe Bathurst

But, for 10 days that includes all your hotel accomodations (3 different cities), tours, a good share of your meals, transportation, tickets for all venues etc. I think would be hard to put something like this together on your own.
Remember, you're in Paris, Ohama beach, Le Mans and back to Paris over the 10 days. Check the schedule.

Overnight in Paris
House rental for a week in Le Mans
5 additional days in Germany including Stuttgart
Another overnight in Paris.
All meals, beverages, tours etc.
Airfare
Car rental
I was well under the 7k figure.
Traveling and doing stuff is easy. You don't need somebody holding your hand the whole time. I've done similar trips at Spa, Melbourne, Monza, Montreal for F1. Got France and Austria booked for F1 in 2018.
