My fronts arrived today. 315/30/18 with my 295/30 MPSS fronts for comparison. Looks to be about 3/8" wider. Can't wait to get my Deity wheels and rear tires.

18x11 et38 and 18x12.5 et55. I should have everything by Tuesday. Not in any hurry to mount them as the track doesn't open until March.

The picture seems to show the R888Rs are a little smaller in diameter than the stock tires. Do you have any idea how much smaller? I tried to look the number up on the Tire Rack web site but that section of the spec sheet is blank for both the 315 and 335.

Definitely a little shorter going from 19's to 18's. Tire Rack is my go to on tire specs as well.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a set of 315/335 for some time attack events this year. Hoping the R888R is sticky enough to contend for the win.

appreciate the heads up.
Best price I've seen on R888R in Z51 sizes.

ready to order but concerned about manufacturing date.
Return policy indicates they will accept returns for tires over 4 years old. Unacceptable to me.
I would not accept any tire over 2 years old

Anyone have any experience?

I think you're getting a little over worried here. The R888R just came out a year ago so it's doubtful any exist in inventory that are more than a few months old. Mine were produced 4117 so they're 12 weeks old. Hopefully that puts your fears to rest. I think a lot of people are confusing these with the older version R888's versus R888R's.

Here's the press release from October 2017 launching the R888R's. Hopefully this helps others as well. I've read some racing reviews and these look to be a great tire for us.

I just had full set of the R888R's in stock sizes mounted on a second set of OEM wheels for my Z51

Track only, Probably won't get to use them till June.

Ordered them from Simple tire for 15% discount and free shipping. Their execution was flawless in every way. Total came to $1214 with tax, delivered to my installer in 4 days

Manufacturing codes were 2617 to 4217

how do they compare to the MPSS in terms of width? do they run narrow like the r888s did? Do you mind measuring them since all they are doing is waiting
