Default new Nurburgring Chassis LG-#002 available

Hi Guys,

We have decided to build Chassis LG-#002 for the Nurburgring event.

The customer/owner of Chassis LG-#001 will be using it over the summer and it will be out of the US for roughly 2 months counting the boat trip over.
SO, we are getting a twin to that car and we will build the second chassis identical to the first one.

The good thing is that we will be able to do some more testing and fine tuning on some things. Our Aero package may get a couple of new small additions and we need to see how they affect it.

Stay tuned for Ring Chassis LG -#002

AND it will be for sale after we return from the Nurburgring event in October. AND if you buy it before we go, you can come to the ring as our guest!

thanks
Lou Gigliotti

We are some runners from the Vette club Sweden who will be going to the Ring in September, hopefully we can get in some clean laps during TF even if the place is crazy these days.
October can be hard with the weather could be **** or could be just like summertime bit of a lottery, who will drive your car, will you rent the track and what lap time are you aiming for ?

I will be there roughly 2 weeks early to gain some needed track time and track knowledge.

Let me know via my personal email when you will be at the Ring. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone.

When I did research on going to the Ring, statistically the month with the least rain was shown to be April.....does that sound correct?

Lou,

When will you be there? I have a friend that owns a hotel on the Ring. They rent out exotic vehicles and "ring taxis" for hot laps around the Ring.

I have not checked any statistics but it is a treacherous track, weather could be sunny at one end of the track and slippery wet of rain in the next part it is situated in a area of valleys and mountains.

weather history shows 10 days of rain in a typical October. So we will be gambling that our day will be one of the dry ones.

There is no way to do any good laps on a rain track with the tires that we will run.

Thanks

This link could be of some interest where you can see what speeds min - max during different sections of the track for different cars it is some years but the rebuilt track car BMW M3 CSL Loaded, give you some hints what speeds you must aim for in different sections, it is in Swedish the site but the pictures are universal.

I will arrive on Sept 22 to attend a 4 day ring school. 23-26.

Then we will be there for the event on October 4th - 9th with the 8th being our private day.

We would like to put a Corvette gathering together for the 4-8 weekend if that can be done over there.

Should be fun

Agreed.... the last time I checked it was definitely not in Germany.

Nurburgring is the destination with our car, landing in Frankfort Germany then heading to the track.

We are building the new C7 Z06 as we speak Ring Chassis LG-002 that will be a black version of the tuner car that we had in Florida.

2019 C7 Z06 manual Transmission as delivered this week.

stay tuned.

I can't wait to hear how all this goes. Please do routine updates on what you are doing as you build this car and prepare for your run.

Will do
The event is scheduled for October 8
For starters I’m heading over in June for one day to drive around with a Nürburgring expert - then on my own for half a day
I’ll give you a report on that along with some video

then at the end of September I’m going over for two days one week before the event. One day with A ring expert and one day by myself

like I said I don’t plan on not being prepared

Lou, I fully respect your background in a racecar and know you can wheel a Corvette...

I feel like you're going to dramatically cut your car and your company short if you are the only one that makes an attempt in your Corvette, at the ring. One day of track time as prep...not going to be close to enough.

I'm hoping you'll consider running hard yourself, but also reaching out to a known Ring GT driver. Are you able to hook up with Dale Lomas from Bridge to Gantry? He was very involved in the Viper attempt and has the contacts for sure.

Please consider getting another driver out there with you lou, so your best foot is forward....and bring a sh*t ton of tires. Just want to see the LG Corvette crush!

Not to worry. This is all I have done for the last 40+ years and I have no problem driving a fast car or a race car.

The "Ring" is intimidating to many because the unknown is always intimidating. and by the time I get to run the "Official lap" I will have about 8 days on track

BUT Just the fact that a few here say it can not be done is enough incentive for me to do it.

So stay tuned. As I said, I am taking this serious and I will have more track time on the Nurburgring track than most have in an entire life time BEFORE I make the official run..

Again, Not to worry

Lou G

I know you're taking it serious, no question. Just want your car to leave its proper mark. Pro drivers who have run 100's of laps have been immediately outpaced by some of the people who have true Ring seat time. 8 days is good but...it's a drop in a bucket for Nurburgring. You can leave time all over that track.

If you want to prove it can be done, you'll need a ring pro to run the car with you and not be able to match your pace....am I right?
