Generation, Year, and Model: C6 Z06, 2009
Driver Seat: Racetech RT4009W
Driver Mount: Brey Krause BR9144 Seat Mount with Integrated sub bar, BR9061 Side mount bracket, Sparco SP493 sliders
Passenger Seat: Stock
Passenger Mount: Stock
Passenger Sub Belt: Stock
Harness Bar or Cage: N/A
Interior?: Full
Carpet?: Yes
Stock Belts in car?: Yes
Driver: 6', 180 lbs, 34 waist
Notes/Pics: Seat fits, however with this setup it sits much higher than factory seat. I have to remove padding to fit in the car with a helmet and feel like even without the padding, it still sits higher than factory seat. Also slider range is limited, at the further point back there is still a few inches further it could go which would be nice.

Can anyone tell me if there is another mount & slider setup that would significantly lower the seat and also set it further back to allow for more leg room?

Corbeau FX1 in a C6Z? None of the posts mention a Corbeau install. The FX1 is sized between the Fx1 Pro and the wide version. My C6Z has a full interior; no stripping desired. Any insight will be appreciated.

Has anyone put an OMP HTE-R XL in a C7? Also, what is the total weight loss going from stock comp seats to the HTE-R?

Personally, I think the "A" measurement of 580mm would make it very difficult to not modify the door panel. It is close with an HTE-R 400, but at less than an inch in total additional width, or 1/2" per side, I suppose it could work.

Any particular reason you don't want to do the 400? I'm not a small guy by any stretch, and I fit the seat just fine. I

I'll see if OG Racing has one to sit in but as I recall you had to cut your to get it to fit and I'm a good bit wider than you are.

OG only had an HTE-R and an HTE-R XL sitting out to try. I honestly wasn't sure if they still made the 400 until I got home. I'll try that out.

Does anyone have any solid data on the weight of the 3LZ/ZR comp seats compared to the HTE-R + rails? I'm really not going to mess with it unless there is at least 50 lbs to be saved total by replacing both seats.

I can attempt to scale mine this weekend. I'll be puling the HTE 400 to swap the oem 2LZ seat back in for street use over the winter.

Comp seats weigh 56 lbs, or at least the passenger side does, according to this thread https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ld-thread.html If I remember correctly my drivers side seat felt heavier than the passenger side did. The racetech seat weighs 20 lbs but I'm not sure what the AMT mount weighs.

Ordered a custom-sized 16" Ultrashield Pro Roadrace seat (5-6 week lead time) and have AMT's mounts. Shoulder width ended up at 22" and looks like it will just fit in the C7 with the seat down low. Will post up my experiences fitting it. Have to install the BK bar and get a seat back brace.

Hey Sean, it's been a while! Can't help you with C7 info but I put a HTE-R XL in the C6Z that Katech built for me and did not have any fitment issues. I believe the C7 may be a little narrower so it might be close in once of those. It's an awesome and very comfortable seat so if you can get one it I think you are going to love it!

2003 Z06
Full interior
Corbeau Forza seat
Corbeau C5 seat adapter and Corbeau dual locking slider
The shoulder support BARELY touches the door panel when the door is closed. I could slide a piece of paper b/w them so it's not forcing against the door.

Only needed to oval out the seat bracket holes since I assume my seat studs were slightly off during the vehicle assembly. I'm 6ft and I did not see a need to do any shimming or get stud extenders. I MIGHT add some washers under the front seat feet to slightly recline the seat.

Custom Ultrashield Pro Roadrace: 16" base, 22" shoulders, 2" taller. Just test fitting. Will post up when actually done on brackets.

Probably a dumb question but no better place to ask it.

I'm installing a driver side seat this off season using the AMT ultra low mount and a Brey Krause harness bar. Does it matter which stud extenders are used (marad vs vetteworks)? Is two enough for just the rear or is it ideal to use four to keep the mount level?

AMT sends the extenders with it's mount if you're talking about the seat mount. They also sell the bar to hook the submarine harness up below the seat. Hopefully that's what you're asking.
