Please post pictures of wheels, and link to where they can be purchased (and how much) -- Adding details, I'm interested in inexpensive/cost-effective options for tracking . . . I've seen some beautiful things posted, but 'OMG', I could buy a prepped miata for the cost of the wheels alone.
The whole point of this thread is to try to find cost effective options for tracking. Help me out.

Signature 103 wheels. $3300 or so with shipping
I grabbed a quick pic of my car on signature wheels after I washed the car, popped the roof off and thought "I should grab a picture"

beautiful, but way too much for what I'm looking for. I'm looking for cost effective options for tracking (18 inch tires which will be more affordable than the 19/20, and hopefully wheels that won't make me wish I just replaced the motor in my miata, based on cost)

You want wheels to withstand the track and want to be cost effective you can ise cheap cast wheels known to shatter and not rated for any track use. If your gonna spend money on the motor and perf upgrades you definitely should research track wheels. Reason why all our porsche and bette circuits use out Forgeline racing wheels! And its not cause they woukdnt like to buy wheels at $1600, fact is there isnt a travk wheel out there worth a nickel under CCW and Forgeline. But to each his own. We have an 1100 hp c7z with brembo gtr brakes at Katech getting our track VX1R with Hoosiers just stay tuned. Always way to cut corners but on long rilun you pay alot more.

No one has even asked what model C7 or what width wheel you want to run.
If cheap is all you care about, and you can run a 10.5" wheel, you may want to consider a TSW Interlagos. You can get a set of wheels for just over $1k.
That being said, my vote is, and will always be, Forgeline. Why risk a wheel failure at 150+ mph? Your life could literally be dependent on the couple thousand dollars you save.

Village,
I notice in your pic it looks like your running stage 3 front with stage 2 rear. You notice any increased oversteer characteristics?

As the vendor pointed out, CCW is really the cheapest Monoblock wheel available. The forgelines are a step up as they offer bead curling and it goes up in price from there. Are you planning on running slicks at any point? Or you going to stick with a street tire?

cost-effective does not mean 'CHEAP'. if there's a damn good reason for spending more, then by all means bring it up.
OEM wheels are notorious for denting. Years of C6 owners have been putting their wheels on C7s for cost effective alternatives to the 19/20 inchers on the GS.
I'm trying to price out if it is possible to buy a set of 18 inchers that will be effective track wheels for C7GS, and that will help keep operational costs down for regular track use. Obviously vendor wants to guide me to more expensive options that he sells. Perhaps that is the long term answer, Need help to figure that out. Perhaps TSW Interlagos are sufficient.
Looking to the hive for experience and options . . .

Anyway, nope. Feels perfect, actually. When I screw up, it's usually a 4 wheel slide.
We don't have Z06 power. That's plenty of down force in the rear.

Thanks, I’ll have real data stage 1 VS 3 on May 10. Going back to Thunder Hill. Last time had stage 1 all around and hit 139 mph on the straight before tipping into turn one. I’m going to see how much mph I will lose now with stage 3.

Having bent a stock GS wheel that killed a track day, when I was going to 18" wheels I knew that I wanted something that would fit the task and last. Spend more money once... or keep spending it (in both wasted track time and replacement costs) when a lower strength/quality wheel fails (again).
One of the best things about going with a custom forged wheel (beyond the strength/weight) is getting the perfect size/offsets for the C7. I was able to add more rubber at the front (285 to 315) without having to worry about "will it fit" from the limited size options available from a non-custom option.

My top speed is super low compared to my lap times when I compare to other cars. 5-6mph off of a 125mph top speed.
IE: This stock 335i runs 7 seconds slower than me on cup tires (5 on R888R and 3.5 on PSS) and has mph 3-4 mph above me. I'm typically 124-125. In the cold (40 degrees) I've hit 127. I also brake way later than him. I've probably got another 100-150ft of gas than him, depending on tires.

With wheels, I see it as a three-way battle: strong, light, cheap (pick two)
