Default paint protection?

I took a lot of hits from rubber flying off track this last weekend. Much of my car is covered in Xpel - but not all of it. And this rubber can leave quite a bit of marks and smears.

Are you guys doing anything additional to protect your cars when on track?

Thanks!

I have the entire car ceramic coated. The rubber debris marks come off pretty easily with a soft towel and your favorite detail polish.

A little buffing after a track day will take care of it.

Mothers R3 is like magic for those post-track day rubber clean ups. I swear by this product for anyone who goes to the track and cares about keeping their paint clean.

Castrol SuperClean or (cheaper) Purple Power. Both say not to use on paint

I have been using it on my 02 Z since 2005, 8-10 times/year. Wipes rubber off super easy, rise off. Work from the bottom up. Just don't let the product dry on your finish and be sure to wash the car when you are done.

NuFinish also works well with a bit more rubbing.

Another R3 user here. It works well. I only use it once or twice a year since I'm not that concerned about it. Keeping a track car show/cruise clean sounds like a full time job.

Clear Bra is the best for rubber and rock chips. Ceramic Coating will help with the rubber not sticking to your wheels or paint. That is if you get your wheels coated. I am an IGL Coatings installer and for track use I HIGHLY recommend IGL Wheel as it is also good up to 800 degrees. Come off track and hit them with a pressure washer and good to go!
