Say hello to #59...still some finishing touches (series/compliance stickers <---a LOT!, headlight stickers, driver, etc), but you get the idea...

The Howe TA2 chassis has been around since 2011. A well thought out, safe design which could be used for a very quick regional type GT-1 machine. I used the Howe TA2 clip on my C6 tube frame car and also on my recently completed 1968 tube frame Corvette. The affordable price, Chas Howe and teams support, and the suspension parts availability through them makes it very attractive for club racers. Howe will build a club racing version that is not nearly as expensive as the full TA2 car.

SCCA rules allow an LS1 based GT-1 car in the class at 2580 pounds. I think a full tilt, high compression, solid roller cam, cnc heads LS1 could push 575 HP at the flywheel and make for a very quick ride at that weight. As fast as the TA2 cars are at 500 HP and 2830 pounds, one of these could be diabolical.

Thank you. Come see me at my "FS: Howe TA2 Camaro" thread...

I've got one for sale...depends on what reasonable is to you...but let's take that discussion over there or to PM. TIA.

Neat article with a mention of the #59 Manufacturing News Camaro…..a snippet below:

"Veteran fans of TA2 competition will have the pleasure of seeing the previous class victors Gar Robinson, in the No. 74 74 Ranch Resort Chevrolet Camaro, and Dillon Machavern, in the No. 59 Red Line Oil/ Manufacturing News/ TRB Chevrolet Camaro, back in action this weekend. While Robinson, the 2015 and 2017 TA2 champ and native Texan, will be flying his home colors of Robinson Racing, Machavern enters as a familiar face in a new place, racing with TRB and, for the first time in Trans Am, behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Camaro."

Good deal! TA2 is in the upper paddock. Look for the TRB paddock. I'm in Japan but my wife, Dani, is there, you'll probably see the white Z06 near the #59. Dillon Machavern is driving and providing invaluable setup for us...first time on track!!
