I agree with Oli, my car makes 475 RWHP without restrictor, all dynos not being exactly the same. I doubt anyone is even making 500 rwhp in GT2, maybe a well built Viper, but certainly no Corvette.

I ran a built and tuned LS3 prior to the OEM LS7 and it wasn't anywhere close to 600hp at the rear wheels

I meant bhp, not rwhp...

Mike how was performance different between the tuned LS3 vs. the OEM LS7?

My HP#'s are in line with Oli & Robert's. I was told that they where shooting for 450 RWHP with restrictors. Not sure which engine they where refering to with weight's ranging from 3,000 - 3,325.

Default SCCA GT2 Hp

For the record: GT2 C6 Z06 for sale and he’s advertising 510 rwhp with a stock unrestricted LS7 crate motor at 3325 lbs.

Default Scca gt2

Andrew Aquilante wins SCCA Runoffs championship GT2 again this year. I think he has a L76 engine which is a LS2 bottom end with LS3 heads and intake. Built to the limit of the rules it would have ported heads with 12:1 compression with up to a .600” lift camshaft and a 70mm flat plate restrictor at 3030 lbs. (3000 lbs plus 1% for ported heads = 3030lbs.)
I took this screen shot from today’s broadcast.

He’s obviously got a lot more going on than just his engine choice. It’s just one piece of the puzzle.

Aquilante is running under the L76 spec line. I have a C6 with the same L76 spec line. I am trying to sell my C6; anyone with interest in running a Corvette in GT2 don't hesitant to send me a message! By the way, I was able to get the car to make just over 500rwhp with the L76 with the 70mm FPR.

That is an awesome level of power. I took a club level engine to a semi pro race known as the Runoffs. My car is only making about 430 RWHP with the restrictor.

Oli,
which spec-line are you running under?

If you are referring to my engine, it is the six liter L79 configuration. It just is not very built. It is setup to last a long time and be economical to run. The rev limiter is set to 6,800 and tuned to run on pump gas, so it does not have high compression in the heads. My power deficit appears frequently on the straights. I had a wrong tune in the car the first two qualifying sessions. I also race NASA ST2. For that I have a 380 HP tune. When I went to the GT2 tuned ECU I got 430 HP, or four seconds per lap in my third and last Q session. I presume if I get to 480 RWHP I could get close to 2:15 laps, based on that data.
