Mine has a tune, intake and catback and an installed header. It should make about 240 at the crank. Now I have 3 track cars that need 40 more horses to be perfect (Miata, FRS, Grand Sport)

Anyway, with the header and fresh rubber, I should be able to at least play with my spec boxter friends.

well this sucks.
Current owner gave previous owner right of first refusal.
He said no (ironically, because he bought a grand sport).
TODAY, while the ******* car is in my garage and money is in my safe at home, waiting to sign paper work, the guy changes his mind.

I could have been a dick but I wasn't...
I got a free track day out of it, so I guess I'm still "ahead."

I'm really pissed because I passed up sweet *** deal on a Lotus Elise.

The search for the 2019 track vehicle continues. It may just end up being the Grand Sport because **** it- it has a 100k mile warranty.

So.. I been tracking my C6 Grandsport for the last 5 years and its at 120K miles. If you using relatively stock'ish hardware/setup/power you should be fine.

FYI- my my buddy picked up a C5Z for 12k here in LA, car was gone stock with 92k miles (he is at about 100k now without issues) so deals can be had

Found this car for a great deal. We agreed to a price- delivery in December as the seller is in the middle of moving (and I have no real use for it right now)

Even though it's too late, a V6 or Honda powered NA is where its at for a track rat. I built an LS Miata after having it as a turbo car. To much power on tap for a non professional driver and the short wheelbase makes them swap ends fairly easily. Miata consumables are peanuts. The S2K is another twitchy one to drive. Ive never driven a rwd Subaru to know how they do but that lack of boost disappointed me when they came out.
