Default PS rack upgrades/options

So it seems turn one just replaces components with OEstyle components in the rack.

Anyone out there that can actually uograde the rack? Gone through 2 in less than 2 months. I also have a turn 1 pump on the car. If no upgrades what’s the best option for a new OE rack?

I've heard early reports that the ZIP rebuilds are at least as good as the Turn One , but that is limited data. I've also heard that they are impossible to fully disassemble and upgrade,so it's just new seals etc.

I've only killed 1 in the c5/c6 era, but that's 7 or 8 cars over 21 years.

In all fairness david I was unsure of history on both racks. Also was running 335 slicks on 18x12s

On my 3rd in six year. I just get rebuilds from a local place in phoenix for about 300 bucks. Usually run 315 nittos nt01 in the front. I put a turn one in last year and things have been fine.

Mine is still trucking after the turn 1 pump upgrade. Is the C6 rack just beefier?

Could you give us a call on Monday so we could try and give you a hand with the failures you are having? You can talk with Jeff in our tech department and he can help answer why your racks keep failing.

Thanks,
Junior

I will give him a call. My T1 pump has failed or atleast it is failing. I have also added a separate PS cooler up front. I will give him a call and chat about my issues and experiences over the past year.

chet - just an update on an earlier conversation - my current (zip/lonstar) and my last (Turn One) rack failed by fluid leaking out the port where the magnasteer wires go in the rack. last time out, I disconnected the magnasteer wires and really could not tell it was disconnected while on track. so I'm going to clip the wires exiting the rack and seal that port. hopefully that will give me some longevity.

Interesting. Although by plugging my last rack with black permatex it was good to go. wasnt leaking from there.
