i remember one of my first instructors, a porsche guy if memory serves.
my first track car had 4.10 gears, and he was always blown away/confused what gear i was in.
also one of those instances where listening to my own common sense vs what he was telling me to do was the right thing to do. (ie what gear to down shift too/run.)
