Default 2017 Corvette Power Steering Failure Recall/Track Safety

Is anyone here planning to wait for the power steering fix for the 2017 cars before driving the car on a track? Seems like a ps failure on track could be catastrophic.

Nah, I'll keep hitting up the track.

At higher speeds there is a lot less assist from the PS anyway. It would certainly be weird to lose it on track, but it's not like the car is gonna suddenly spin out of control and slam into the barriers.

Steering effort just gets hard. Very hard.

same as a pump failure, Ive had it happen mid corner before. Scary at first, but not catastrophic. You probably won't want to finish the weekend if it happens though
