Default Please recommend diff fluid for 2013 z06

I used Redline in my c5z and did get some diff wear (not failure). I am not blaming it on the RL, as it served me many years of autox. Probably harder on a diff than track, right?

Anyway give me a choice or two of what YOU would put in a c6z, THANKS!

Also tranny fluid.

A couple of guys have already chimed in and much appreciate those recommendations.

Put Amsoil Severe Gear® 75W-90 in the diff and Torque-Drive in the transmission.

Here are some links:

https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...90/?zo=1934716

Plus, if you street drive the car, the severe gear doesn't quite have enough limited slip additive for the C6 clutch packs and you might get some chatter. You can add a couple oz of AMSOIL Slip Lock while you are changing the fluid.

No kidding, a dealer will put Amsoil in? I would guess that violates some dealer/mfg agreement, but good on you.

Rick Willhoff of Abel Chevrolet has recommended Amsoil in the past. You can read his comments here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1589222542

I was a mechanic for GM dealers for 12 years as my first career. There is not a problem using Amsoil or are there any agreements with GM that says you can't use other stuff on paid customer repair orders.

Thanks, probably the policy varies dealer to dealer as they are independent franchises.

OEM ACDelco fluid here. I just did mine last month. Have 13 z06 as well. Summit racing parts has great prices on the fluid as well. What is more important is refreshing the fluid frequently than what brand you use in my opinion.

Didn´t have any issues at tracking after flushing all the fluids. Engine oil is only fluid that I changed to non oem (0w-40 mobil 1).

I don't think you can go wrong with RL,RP or Amsoil assuming you use the same weights of each product.

I just did my first fluid change on a C5Z to all RP...I guess we will see how it turns out.

FWIW, I got my trans and diff rebuilt by RPM Transmissions and they recommend Royal Purple for both trans and diff for all of their units.
