Default Rival S 1.5 or Rival S

How do you know you are getting the 1.5 version when getting these tires???

The pictures on Tirerack look the same with only a "S" on side wall of both.

There are two ways to make the distinction. The “S 1.5” tires will have “DT” branded on the sidewall. Additionally, the 7th and 8th characters in the DOT TIN are “61” for ALL Rival S “1.5” tires, and “41” for ALL Rival S “1.0” tires.

Is the "s" 1.0 gone once the stock is sold, no longer made?

Both tires have the DT stamp. I just went through this exercise with Tire Rack and it took their "expert" to identify. The numbers are the only difference.

Great tires by the way. I had a chance to run them on the track this past weekend and had way more grip. Had to add throttle to generate slip angle due to the increased overall grip. The car felt twitchy until throttle was added...tires are more precise.
