What wheels are you running with a BBK on C5?
This is turning out to be more challenging than I was originally thinking. I haven't bought my brakes yet - looking at the Stoptech ST-60 or Wilwood Aero 6. Currently running 18x9.5 Z06 replica's on the front and looks like I may need a small shim to clear them (probably ~0.100" should do it but can't find anything thinner than a 1/4" and don't want to go that thick). Is anyone running wheels that clear a BBK that don't cost $6k for a set (besides OE rear Z06's)?

There are a few relatively inexpensive options...
Kirk
- Stock C5Z06 18x10.5 on all four corners
- TSW Interlogos or TSW Nurburgring 18x10.5 +65 on all four corners
- Forgestar F14 - Least expensive custom widths and offsets

We offer several Essex Designed AP Racing Competition Brake Kits that will clear OEM 18" rear C5 Z06 wheels when run on the front of the car. I've listed three of them below, from the smallest/least expensive to largest/most expensive. I also threw in some other wheel fitments that work. Before you pull the trigger on Stoptech or Wilwood, be sure to check out our kits. They are more expensive on initial purchase, but you also get a lot more for your money over the long haul. These cars devour front brakes, and it's always a good idea to invest in the best front brake system you can. It will save you a boatload of money in the long run.

Hey Sean - I'm running C5Z rears on my base C6 with the Wilwood Aero6 Race brake kit but seriously thinking about getting a set of F14s. They're about the same cost to buy new and the F14s look much better in my opinion.

Can you quantify "room to spare"? I run standard CCW C10's, 18x11 over massive AP Calipers (29 mm pads) and they clear. C5 rears also clear (barely) and C6Z fronts require a 1/4" spacer. I am looking to get wheels for a wet setup, and the Nurburgring's are a candidate.

The car is at a shop right now but if I remember right I was able to get a finger between the caliper and the spokes, so at least 10mm, maybe 15mm.
I also have C6Z repro fronts, so that might be a good reference. They're 18x8.5, +56, and they needed a 15mm spacer to clear the brakes. With the spacer they only clear by about 4mm. (Street use only, no sticky tires.)

As others have mentioned. TSW Nurburgring or Interlagos. I run them on my car with AP BBK. I am a dealer for TSW. You might have a hard time finding a set now. I have several sets on the way that should be here the end of June.

Thanks for the info on the Nurbergrings. I mis-typed on my C6Z wheels, they are actually "just" C6 wheels, 18x9.5, +57 (I believe). With the 1/4" spacer they clear, very tight. I have no issue using them on the track for a wet/drying setup - typically a decent wet street tire like the Toyo R1A.
