Instead of drilling all those holes in the cover, you could have cut 2 slits in the top of the cover and ran some uprights that bolted to the frame. That way, you do not need all those supports.

Doesn't matter for CAM classes, but if you, technically, want to remain legal to run other SCCA classes like SSM or SP it can't be mounted to the frame, only the "trunk or decklid area". Also, since it squared off at the top you may also want to check those top corners for the 10" rule, some people can be dicks about it. I once got threatened a protest at a Champ Tour due to a small air gap under my spoiler at the edge where the bottom wasn't totally touching the car so I had to cover it with tape.

From the rule book...

b. It is a non-production rear spoiler which is mounted to the rearmost portion of the rear hatch, deck, or trunk lid. The spoiler may extend no more than 10” (254 mm) from the original bodywork in any direction. Alternatively, in a hatchback, the spoiler may be mounted to the rear hatch lid at or near the top of the hatch; in such a configuration the spoiler may extend no more than 4” (101.6 mm) from the original bodywork in any direction. The spoiler shall not protrude beyond the perimeter of the original bodywork as viewed from above. The use of endplates is prohibited. Angle of attack is free. The spoiler may not function as a wing.

Having recently built a CAM spoiler myself, I can tell you those outer corners are well over 10" from the body. Had to add a taper to mine there.

Default I am no expert but...

I am no expert but won't the wind resistance offset the benefit of the down force it will produce?

To echo what Matt said, at the speeds the car see at autocross the drag will be minimal. The idea is that you can set the car up loose to be able to rotate the low speed corners, and then the high speed areas are held under control by the parachute. I mean spoiler.
