Default Hoosier A7 R7 for stock C7 Z06 rims

The life of my Cup 2's is coming to an end. I bought a second set of Street Rims and put some MPSS on them. I was zooming around the web and see that Hoosier makes
R295/30Zr19
335/25ZR20.
I have the stock knife blade rims not the more common ones.

The 295 says it will fit a 10" rim, can that be trouble?

Questions:
They appear to cost more than the Cup 2. Will they last longer?
In the literature it says DOT, really? I have a track 20 minutes from my house that I would drive to with the tires on.
Has anyone run this combination?
What is the "shelf life" of these tires.
What question am I not asking that I should?
General questions why are there used track tires for sale?

Thanks in advance for your help.
