Dempsey-Proton GTE-Am Porsche just turned in to the rear corner of the 64 and pit maneuvered Fassler. Hoshino, the driver of the Porsche had already spun like 3 times during the race and had a couple of other close calls. That guy is gonna be catching heat now for sure.

Hoshino, who was driving the Dempsey-Proton Porsche and hit Fassler, just SELF RETIRED from the race...said over the radio he didn't want to drive anymore. He can't meet minimum drive time, so that effectively took that car out of the race. I wonder if his other team drivers may run or not. All I know is, Hoshino removed himself from the track and I'm sure everyone breathed a sigh of relief like Hindaugh said.
Fassler is with the doctors but walked in. The impact warning in the car went off, when certain G limits are exceeded so...all seems ok for the most part.

I can see people recording the sprint races...but 24hrs of Lemans...idk about that...lol. Sure some record it for "archive" value maybe but...I highly doubt people record and later watch the entire race. Spoilers come in the last two hours...leave the winner up for determination but...til then...bahhh...

Advanced
Very sad. Video doesn't lie. Unlike acting, no retakes.
And it could've been worse,....

But, I'm looking at the bright side with my fingers crossed for 63.

Melting Slicks
Just heard them say Fassler was found at fault for the incident....

Yep, Fassler was blamed for making an unsafe pass and turned in on the Porsche before clearing. I can't say I disagree.

Yeah, I came across this:
Fassler given 6 demerit points and Corvette fined 7000 euros
They said Fassler was responsible for a clean pass, as the faster car, and stated he encroached on the Porsche's line. I say that's just the FIA riding Porsche's nuts....cause that's some bs.
