Default C6 base AutoX battery holdbown problem

I recently installed an optima yellow top in my Vette along with the optima hold down. Today while running the course I discovered my battery sliding all over the place under the hood. Anyone experience this? Fix?
Thanks,
Milan

I don't have an answer for you, but there is an old thread where C5 users say the tabs that came with their Optimas work great. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...a-battery.html

The C6, and almost every other GM, comes with the same general setup so I would make sure you are using the right tab and it is installed as designed.

If allowed in your class, you should relocate it to the rear anyway. I ratchet strap them down in the storage bin on race cars.

David, I run CAM S. Is there a kit for relocating the battery? What requires to move it to the rear?
Thanks!!

Sorry for a dumb question, but the c6 base battery is under the hood?

C6z in "trunk" right side is why I ask, would have assumed base would be the same.

PITA to get it past the "over cover" but it goes nowhere once in.

C6 base is located in the rf behind the right side wheel well.

Thanks, I guess the "usual" spot is it, since the dry sump tank is not there. Probably helps starting too, with shorter cables.

I'm looking into relocating the battery to the passenger rear compartment. For now I'm trying to figure out what went wrong. Seems like operator error...
