C7 of Year Finalist (track prepared) 2019

Default Katech's Sequential Manual Gearbox - the first in a C7 production car

To our knowledge, this is the first SMG in a C7 outside of the Corvette Racing team. It is a 6-speed based on the TR6060, adapted to the C7 by Katech. It is absolutely awesome, and so fun to drive. The reduction in shift time is incredible. In our test car, we hit 132mph on the back straight of M1 Concourse. In my Z06 I hit 135mph with 200 more horsepower and a better run on it out of the corner. I need this for my car for sure.

Katech's new Sequential Manual Gearbox for the C7 Corvette allows for sequential no-lift, clutchless upshifts and rev-matched downshifts with the clutch. This means more time on the accelerator and less time shifting for quicker acceleration and domination on the track.

Features:
-PPG gear set with your choice of ratios (see tab)
-Assembly by RPM Transmissions
-PPG shifter
-PPG LCD gear indicator
-Xineering spark cut/rev match controller
-Katech C7 integration parts
-Transmission cooler lines
-Wiring harness
-Software

Requires TR6060 core (not included).
Requires manual transmission vehicle.
Torque tube not included.
Requires transmission tunnel modification.
Professional installation recommended.
Built to order. Please allow 2 months for build.

Why not clutch less downshift? Isn't that where you make time for easy LFB?

After watching that first video of the car on the dyno, I think it is only fair that we start a Go Fund me account for Katech so they can buy extra tie down straps for the car when it is getting run on the dyno.....

Regarding the SMG, very cool and it's great to see unique products coming to the market for the Vettes.

I think you could, it's just easier on the transmission if you use the clutch.

Can you activate revmatch for the downshift or heel and toe ? It seems to me that in the video on the track that the downshift were raw and lacked smoothness, with the risk to unsettle the car...

We do have rev match using the Xineering box. We have full control over the tuning of it and tuned it to the customer's liking.

Yes. In fact, it would be less cost because the custom parts we made to integrate this into the C7 would not be required.

That’s badass! Thank you for always innovating and pushing the limits, even if I can’t afford it lol.

There are no changes to the clutch configuration. We are running an RPS BC2 as it would be in a non-sequential.
