Default SRF question

my '06 ZO6 has SRF brake fluid in lines. I only have < 1/2 quart in a bottle and am wondering if I can mix SRF with another high temp brand? Car is used both on the street and HPDEs. I have rear lines disconnected, I want to bleed thoroughly and cannot find any more fresh SRF. Yet I may not have sufficient time before next drive to obtain a 100% flush with a substitute. Ideas? Thanks

I believe all DOT4 fluids are "compatible"....ie from a legal standpoint. Will you get the full performance of either, maybe not, but I don't think you will have issues. It's not like mixing with silicone fluid or some of the other disasters that have come around.

I'm a big fan of AP fluids and even Prestone Synthetic Dot 4. With proper cooling any Dot4 should work well.

Second the DOT4 full flush. Do it a within a few days of the track event and you won't have any trouble from the fluid. Preferably on a not too humid day and from a new can only.

if you allready have SRF why not just use the half bottle left to bleed? should be enough for rear lines

I would not mix SRF with anything else though, if SRF is a nogo, get it all out
