Default F/S D&D 1963 GrandSport Replica Kits

I have many new Coupe kits available. You can mount these to your 63-82 chassis or I have 4" round tube Chassis that except 88-96 Corvette stock suspension with dana 36 or 44. There is other custom made parts available as well. I raced a D&D coupe in the 2001 and 2002 ONE LAP OF AMERICA (Cannonball Run). I was 1st both years in class Vintage American and 18th overall in 2001. 2002 was 1st in class gain and 2ND OVERALL against some of the fastest cars in the USA. These cars are amazing and very light weight, so a monstor motor is not needed to go fast. We also made CAR AND DRIVER MAGAZINE 2 years in a row.We are working on getting a new web site available, but I only have alot of pictures, info and pricing to those interested. I have listed a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

I can give you pricing for your individual needs. You are also welcome to view these cars anytime in Medina, Ohio.

Hi, Aaron - I ran a couple of laps with you at the '96 "Run-N-Gun" at Norwalk; had just finished my D&D #39, and the run from Michigan was my "shakedown" trip. Looks like you're in business....

Those cars look awesome. I have a couple of questions though. I have access to some frames of the years you specified. How do I go about getting a title for one of these animals? Do I just get a title to the frame or what? I have wanted to do a project like this for years but this has been stopping me

That silver is just simply beautiful. This would be a cool project and would love to do something like this, but after getting a frame and the body kit, I wouldn't know where to begin. Do you supply any books or manuals on what to do or how to put it together? Thanks.

I think we could arrange something for you. Not to hard to do, if you are good with bonding the inners to the outer shells, it is pretty easy. Or I could maybe work and special price with us bonding and hinging all the componants for you.

Aaron 330-573-4338 EST (Ohio) Give me a call if you are interested.

I sold the car in '99 (after putting about 3,000 miles on it) to make room for two other projects, and retired in 2001; have been enjoying setting my own priorities ever since . Say Hi to Dean for me.

When I bought #32 D & D demo from Dean in 1995 I took the MSO to the DMV and they registered the car with no problem. It may be a different situation now, but 10 years ago it was easy.

Wow I wish I were in a position to take on a new project. Those prices sound very reasonable.

Do the bodies have a "birdcage" or metal support within them?

Thanks

No bird cage, but there are aluminum supports on sides under rockers, and and aluminum cross support under dash just like mid years and then they reinforce into aluminum side supports down by the kick panel area. Also you can buy optional pre fabed roll bar that bolts to frame. I have a picture link so you can see.

NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE 1995 WITH THE MSO FROM D&d AND THEN TAKING TO DMV.

TIM,
DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR CAR AND IF SO, POST SOME PICS SO WE ALL CAN SEE, OR SEND THEM TO ME AT RASRBOY@HOTMAIL.COM AND I WILL POST THEM.

As per a previous exchange, I'm interested in what else is needed and the extent of work required to put the body together. Not the chassis and drivetrain, just the work and anything necessary to complete the body (besides paint of course).

Ex:

Is there additional fiberglassing and/or cutting required?
How is the fit and alignment of the pieces?
Are other components from a donor car required to complete the body or is everything that is required available aftermarket/new?
Seats and interior?
Glass?
Wipers/Headlights/Taillights?
etc..

I've built a kit car before and know from experience the amount of additional work required beyond the chassis and drivetrain. I would just like to know what I would be getting into.

Thanks again,

Joe..
