Default 64's are going up in price

Here's a 64 on ebay that is proced right up there with the 63 SWC and thre 65-67 crowd

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...05095792QQrdZ1

Not sure it's priced right, but it's nice to see 64's competing with the other C2 years.

I am watching that auction too. I think mine is in even better shape than that one, so I am interested to see if it sells.

Interesting to watch and see what this one does..... But that front hood alignment looks pretty bad..... maybe that's why the car retired from compitition.....

One car will not make or break the relative price differences between the years. On average, '64s will always be priced below the '63s and '65-67s. That's the bad news. The good news is that if the other years are going up in value, then so are the '64s.

And for someone who wants a mid year Corvette, a '64 has been the cheapest way to get one. Not that they're cheap. A good value, relatively speaking.

And the average guy and gal on the street can't tell one from another, and doesn't care.

I think all vette prices have leveled off right now. The housing market has dried up some of the money that was floating around. The toys have to go when those equity line and second mortgage payments go up.I think you will see prices come down some!

Won lots of awards for being the wrong color! Trim Tag shows 940AA which is Satin Silver. Probably local shows where judging is not that thorough. Older resto done in '88. Looks like a nice car, too much $$ IMHO. Anyone scrutinize the stampings?

Well...... my, my.....

Look at this one. I think I should list my 64 and ask, oh.... say, maybe 60K

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...91988817QQrdZ1

I really think these prices are high.... but if someone is willing to shell out that kind of cash - well then my hat's off to the seller/buyer.

There is no adjustment to lower the hood either, unless you remove the front end and the wheelhouses.

'64's are ripe for resto-mods and that's the hot ticket now-a-days.

Not to worry - he relisted , at the same price.

Nothing new here - a car (or anything, for that matter) is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Funny how people refuse to acknowledge this fact.
