I don't know if they do inspections, but one of the foremost Corvette restoration shops is in Houston: Naber's. They did, among other high-priced cars, the last '67 for Pro-Team.

Yep
Ken or Gary Naber will check out a Corvette for you, but they do charge a fee. Their business number is (713) 664-5018. Personally, I wouldn't expect anyone to do a good car inspection for free. It will take several hours of their time to do it right.
If you can't work out a deal with the Nabers, I can recommend some others to call. I lived in Houston during the seventies and still have several Corvette friends there.
