Wow - nearly bought a '64 silver couple last year but found my SWC.
And that one was more money and no knock offs!
Killer deal for somebody

Thanks guys for the various opinions fellas. Generally speaking 64's have a wide range of prices from 20+ just depends on the various conditions and quality of the car. This car is pretty darn clean, I'll post more photos.

Yep does look odd, not sure why it is like that. I'd assume that tag was off at some point. Not the way I would go about reduing the interior. Not like rivets were rare. Any experts on Vetts out there with ideas? Was this a factor mess up or did someone without care remove the tag and replace it ?

perfectly normal. That is how they did it in 63 and 64. Ground off bar behind to remove paint, and one or two spot welds on right and left side of VIN plate. Most 64s will have the double spots on each side, and sometimes more to keep plate from falling off. For 1965 they converted to round head rivets then to the typical rosette rivets.
