1963 Convertible FS
This is a frame on restoration I started a year and a half ago and was to be my daily driver. I found another car I liked better, so the 63 is up for sale.
It is a no hit body with everything replaced or rebuilt from the radiator support to the gas cap and everything in between. The frame is rock solid, and the body sports new paint.
The car was originally a 340 horse motor that was blown early on in its life. I rebuilt the over the over counter replacement block (Sept. 63 casting) to 350 HP specs with a little more aggressive cam. Trans was also rebuilt and new rear suspension (spring, trailing arms, bearings) installed. Rear is a 370 and is in excellent shape.
The dash cluster, clock, and Am-Fm radio have all been rebuilt. The original Am Wonderbar radio goes with the car. The top is new and is attached to what looks to be a power coated frame.
The car comes with a hardtop, cover, and 4 new radial tires and still has the original spare. I tried to keep the car looking as original as possible and would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. I have only put a little over 100 miles to sort everything out: the engine still has break in oil in it.
Things left to do are chrome the driver quality bumpers, and the passenger side dash vinyl needs a repair or replacement. A lot of time and money went into this resto and no expense was spared to make it right. Anyone who has restored one of these knows the amount of money required to do them right. I am asking $49,900. If anyone is interested and needs more pictures, email me at whhug@yahoo.com
Thanks
