WTB: 1963 SWC Fuelie Driver, Original #'s Matching
Hey all,
Frank here. Usually spend my time in the C3-C5 forums, but was wondering if you can assist. I am looking for a 1963 Split Window Coupe Fuelie that is Original #'s Matching.
I am looking for a rust free car, that is in driver condition. My budget is around 100K, give or take. Documentation and owner history is a bonus. A no hit car is preferred.
Does not need to be a level 1 quality car, or NCRS (or equivilent), but the more original the better. Want to drive and enjoy this piece of history.
Let me know what you have or if you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,
Frank

I wish I could help, but even finding one for sale is not easy. A decent original one brings $100K plus regularly. I think $125K is fair for a quality driver if you can find one you like. Good luck, I know its out there somewhere for you.

I would think a Survivor fuelie is harder to find than a restored fuelie.

A real, documented, un-hit, 63 split window fuelie, with original engine, in driver condition? Good luck even finding such a dodo bird...
... get me a spare Arc of the Covenant, while your at it...
Now if you want one that someone says meets all those conditions, well, now , such a deal we've got for you. $100K, no problem...

I've been watching these for some time, well 63's in general. There are a few that you may find out there once in a while that may fit into the $125 bracket.
This one come to mind:

Mind you, i dont know the details of this particular car, but it could potentially fit what you are looking for. Other than that, 125 seems to be more like decent 327/340 money vs a fuelie.
Edit: There is also a black on saddle fuelie on ebay. This is the second time this auction is up. I was actually the high bidder on the first one, i just didn't meet the reserve and tried to contact him after about reaching a deal and got no response.
